Book Study: Can we create some space for God?
Beginning September 3, the Thursday Evening Bible Study will pause in our study of the Book of Acts to read and discuss A Spirituality of Living by Henri Nouwen.  In these days of pandemic, fear and uncertainty, this book offers timely guidance for developing spiritual disciplines that bring us closer to God and each other. (No Bible Study Aug 27th)

We meet via Zoom Thursday evenings at 7 p.m.; the group is open to visitors and new members any time.  If you are interested in joining us or have questions, please contact Sister Le via email at sisterle@flclakewood.org.

“The spiritual life is a life that is guided by God’s Spirit, the same Spirit that guided the life of Jesus.  So how can we be in touch with the Spirit, hear the voice of the Spirit, and allow ourselves to be guided by the Spirit?  This is not so easy in a world where there are so many things going on and so many voices calling for our attention.  Can we create some space for God where we can hear, feel, experience the Spirit of God, and where it becomes possible for us to respond?  Is there space in our lives where the Spirit of God has a chance of getting our attention? ” (Henri Nouwen, A Spirituality of Living, page 14)
